Advanced Team Scenarios will consist of:
2 Trauma - Motor Vehicle accident and a fall down a flight of stairs Teams will be judged on patient assessment including the use of a backboard, KED, traction splint, collar and accessories. Points will be awarded for the proper use of equipment and for not causing further injury to the patient.
1 Medical – Cardiac in nature Once again Teams will be judged on patient assessment including the proper use of oxygen, assisting with nitroglycerin.
Basic Team Stations will consist of:
1. A CPR Station: Adult, Child, and infant 2. Board Splinting: Joint injury, and Long Bone 3. Bandaging skills
Although this is slated as a competition and awards will be presented to the best overall teams, we want this to be a friendly, stress free event for all to work together, meet each other, and most of all have a good time.
