On June 6, 2024, the granite company installers arrived from Massachusetts to assemble the towers bearing the names of the EMS responders killed at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. We watched as the installers assembled the four pieces of granite into two towers, caulked the connecting pieces, and then cleaned and polished the stones. This slideshow gives you an overview of what went into assembling our monument. We still need to pour a concrete floor and install our WTC steel piece. Keansburg Borough will then reinstall its own memorial stone.
We can see the finish line, but we still need a few thousand dollars more to complete this labor of love by Sept. 11 this year. Please consider donating. Thanks to everyone supporting our efforts!
